A strategy is integral to the competitive success of any business organization. Business graduates are therefore expected to develop an ability to look beyond the immediate and the obvious, in order to develop sustainable competitive strategies. This module provides the necessary platform to equip students with the skills required to develop foresight and think strategically to compete effectively in the present hyper-competitive environment. The underlying theory and frameworks that provide the foundations of a successful business strategy are explored and the tools needed to understand that strategy: SWOT, Environmental, Five Forces, Resource Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis and Strategic Change are discussed through case studies.
