On May 1st, 2024, 28 students from the BSc (Hons) Computing (Oil and Gas) visited Oman Cement Company (OCC), accompanied by Dr. Ramalingam from the Faculty of IT. The visit enhanced students' understanding of industrial operations, with a particular focus on SCADA systems.
Mr. Abdullah Al Siyabi, an MUC alumnus and current Head of Business Strategy at OCC, provided valuable insights into process management, highlighting the critical role of automation in cement production. Additionally, the session by Mr. Yousuf was equally enlightening. MUC extends its gratitude to Mr. Mari Ponniah, Mr. Haitham Al Habsi, and all OCC staff members for offering the students such a rewarding learning experience.
