Takaful

This module provides students with essential knowledge and practical insights into Takaful and Islamic risk management, preparing them to understand how financial risks are addressed within a Shariah-compliant framework. Students will develop a solid foundation in the concepts, tools, and instruments used for Islamic risk management, and build the ability to apply these mechanisms to minimise financial risks effectively. The module also emphasises a clear understanding of the key features of Takaful and highlights how it differs from conventional insurance systems. Through theoretical exploration and applied learning, students will gain the analytical and professional competencies required to evaluate Takaful products and implement ethical risk management solutions in real-world Islamic finance environments.
