The Authority of Civil Defense and Ambulance came to Majan College to give training to both staff and students on how to act in the case of a fire.
The team delivered an engaging presentation in English and Arabic. They explained the importance of contacting emergency services immediately on arrival at the scene of an accident, as well as how civilians can help before the professionals arrive at the scene. The team showed examples of different types of burns and how to treat them. They also brought along dummies to demonstrate resuscitation for babies, children and adults. Although the college does not regularly have babies and children on the campus, anyone could find themselves in a position at home or elsewhere where this knowledge could save lives. The students were very interested in the talk and asked many questions. They took in the seriousness of the topic and showed willingness to help in the future if they found themselves in such terrible circumstances.
