Getting support from your lecturers while the campus is closed

Dear students,

We are continuing our communication with you so that you should not feel isolated at this very unusual and difficult time. Although you are not able to come to the College campus, your lecturers are still available to you during their normal office hours. You can contact them by email or MOVE messages and they will respond as soon as possible and if required invite you to a private GoToMeeting session (these are for academic advising, project supervision or any matters related to modules). Your lecturers are ready and willing to help you, therefore, you should always let them know when you need assistance.

On the subject of GoToMeeting, we are pleased to announce that GoToMeeting will no longer count against your data balance when you participate in your online classes. This is with immediate effect on Omantel and will apply to other service providers shortly. In addition, all domain names ending with .edu.om (including MOVE) are exempted from any bandwidth charges. (Please note: you must have mobile data active and some data balance for this to work, and other apps may consume some data in the background while you are connected).

We know that sometimes there are difficulties with Internet connectivity. Even so, do your best to attend classes and, in turn, Majan’s lecturers will do everything they can to support your learning via GoToMeeting, MOVE, email and all other means.

Stay at home, stop the spread, stay safe.

Regards

Dr. Maha Kobeil
Dean
